The Ontario government announced regulatory changes to the OINP under Ontario Regulation 421/17. These changes came into effect May 30, 2026, and prepare for the full program redesign announced in June.

About the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

The OINP allows Ontario to nominate foreign nationals for Canadian permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). An OINP nomination adds 600 CRS points to an Express Entry profile.
